Message Types
There are two different types of event messages that PackNet provides: Packaging Solution Status messages and Machine Group Status messages.
Packaging Solution Status Messages
PackNet will send an event notification when a packaging solution is created or changes states. Users can select which messages they receive. Examples of packaging solution status messages can be found below in Event Notification Examples.
Status | Definition |
|---|---|
Imported | The Packaging Solution was imported into PackNet for production. |
Staged | The production options have been determined. |
Selected | A Machine Group is enabled to produce and the Packaging Solution was selected to be produced. |
Produced | The specified Packaging Solution has been produced. |
Retracted | The selected machine group can not produce the selected Packaging Solution. The Packaging Solution becomes available to be selected. |
ImportFailed | The import process has failed for the specified request. |
StagingFailed | The staging process has failed; no material can produce the Packaging Solution on the given machine groups. |
Machine Group Status Messages
PackNet will send an event notification when any machine group status is changed. Examples of packaging solution status messages can be found below in Event Notification Examples.

Service | false | Machine is in service mode |
Error | false | MG is in error mode |
Online | false | MG is online but paused, press play to start receiving jobs |
Online | true | Ready to receive jobs or producing |
Paused | false | One or more machines in the MG are paused |
Offline | false | One or more machines in the MG are not currently online |
